The Eagle Mountain Mine outside Desert Center, California. Craziest place on Earth. This 10,000 acre iron ore mine encompasses an entire mountain range, and is the largest iron ore mine west of the Mississippi. Patton's army trained here for North Africa. The Marines are currently training here for Iraq and Afghanistan. Click on the pictures to enlarge them.
